Responsibilities

• Oversees foreman positions and manages daily operations of Street and Drainage Divisions, including workflow execution and project management.
• Monitors and reviews maintenance costs for both divisions.
• Tracks and maintains project schedules and related documentation.
• Approves requisitions, purchase orders, and work orders.
• Assists in preparing the annual budget and developing division programs and specifications.
• Ensures training is provided and employee information updated on the Transportation Career Ladder.
• Coordinates with the Equipment Maintenance and Transport Coordinator for vehicle/equipment repairs.
• Administers street resurfacing projects and reconstruction programs; inspects field work.
• Manages contracts and status reports for active projects.
• Handles disciplinary actions, time/attendance issues, and policy compliance.
• Responds during hazardous weather events and emergencies as needed.
• Interviews and selects applicants for employment.
• Enforces safety policies and manages safety equipment purchases.
• Writes reports, memos, policies, and work plans.
• Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
