The City of Beaumont, Texas, is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to perform a broad range of on-site tasks involving streets, curbs, gutters and drainage facilities. The role requires operating hand and power tools, finishing concrete, and supervising safety procedures in all weather conditions.

Applicants should have at least one year of related experience and a valid Texas Class C license. Regular shifts are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with potential overtime during emergencies.

Qualificações

• Minimum of one year experience performing tasks related to maintenance and repair of concrete streets, drainage and related facilities.
• Knowledge of asphalt raking and concrete finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of ditches, streets, curbs, gutters, storm sewers, and related facilities.
• Patch streets and finish concrete; operate tools and equipment such as jackhammers, saws and cement mixers.
• Inspect storm manholes and drainage systems; respond to citizen complaints; maintain tools and materials.
