Job summary

Nomi Health is seeking a Financial Services Onboarding Specialist to guide providers, TPAs, and employers through compliant onboarding to our payment platforms. You will own data collection, validation, and processing of banking, tax, and compliance documents across entities.

Collaborating with Compliance, Finance, and Product/Technology, you will maintain audit-ready records and drive a smooth onboarding experience while navigating regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in financial services onboarding, payments operations, KYC/AML, or healthcare claims/insurance operations.
Working knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC, and NACHA concepts as applied to onboarding and account setup.
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to validate financial, banking, and compliance documentation accurately.
Ability to translate onboarding pain points into clear requirements for Product and Technology teams, and to validate delivered solutions meet operational needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present onboarding status and issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to investigate documentation discrepancies, ask incisive questions, and resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders.
Track record of building effective working relationships across departments including Finance, Compliance, Product, and Engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data validation.
Proven ability to manage a high-volume onboarding pipeline and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward process improvement and operational efficiency.
Self-directed and proactive, with demonstrated ownership of outcomes and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end onboarding of providers, TPAs, and employer groups onto payment and financial services platforms, ensuring completeness and accuracy of banking, EFT, and tax information.
Validate onboarding documentation (W-9s, banking confirmation letters, voided checks, entity formation documents, plan/account setup forms) against standards, tailored to entity type.
Perform due diligence checks including NPI registry verification and OIG/SAM exclusion screening for providers, and negative news review for TPAs and employer groups.
Ensure onboarding activity adheres to regulatory guidelines including BSA/AML, KYC, NACHA rules.
Coordinate account and banking structure setup for TPAs and employer groups, including EFT/ACH configuration.
Triage and resolve onboarding exceptions and gaps with stakeholders.
Maintain audit-ready onboarding records and status tracking in CRM/Salesforce.
Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Engineering, and Product to resolve escalated issues.
Prepare onboarding status reports, pipeline metrics, and exception trends.
Identify platform defects and propose improvements with Product/Tech teams.
Maintain SOPs for onboarding workflows and suggest improvements.
Assist with audit support by providing documentation as needed.
