Job summary

The Financial Services Onboarding Specialist at Nomi Health will guide providers, TPAs, and employer groups through onboarding to our payment and financial services platforms. You will collect, validate, and process banking, tax, and compliance documentation to meet regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in financial services onboarding, payment operations, KYC/AML, or healthcare claims/insurance operations.
• Knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC, and NACHA compliance as applied to onboarding and account setup.
• Strong attention to detail when validating financial, banking, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to translate onboarding pain points into clear requirements for Product and Technology teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AI tools to improve onboarding workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
• SQL knowledge for querying databases and ad hoc reports.
• Experience with Salesforce, Jira, or other CRM/operational workflow tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end onboarding of providers, TPAs, and employer groups onto payment and financial services platforms, ensuring completeness and accuracy of banking, EFT, and tax information.
• Validate onboarding documentation (W-9s, banking confirmation letters, voided checks, entity formation documents, plan/account setup forms) against standards.
• Perform due diligence checks including NPI registry verification and OIG/SAM exclusion screening where applicable.
• Ensure onboarding activities adhere to regulatory and internal guidelines (BSA/AML, KYC, NACHA).
• Coordinate account and banking structure setup, including funding arrangements and EFT/ACH configuration.
• Triage and resolve onboarding exceptions and gaps with stakeholders.
• Maintain audit-ready onboarding records and CRM/Salesforce status tracking.
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Engineering, and Product to resolve escalations.
• Prepare onboarding status reports and metrics; track exceptions.
• Identify platform defects and propose enhancements to improve reliability.
• Maintain SOPs and suggest process improvements.
• Assist with audit support by providing documentation.
