Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, data infrastructure, or real-time streaming.
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, or Java (Python and Rust favored).
• Experience deploying and operating in cloud environments such as Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
• Nice to have: Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate components of the Streaming Platform including Kafka and runtime.
• Implement high-throughput, reliable stream processing with strong correctness guarantees.
• Build automation and control plane for Kafka fleet management to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with product engineers to enable fast, reliable ingestion pipelines.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and failover for real-time systems.
