Job summary

The University of Houston is seeking a Streaming Technician within Technology Services & Support to maintain campus streaming infrastructure and support classrooms and events with professional video and multimedia services.

You will live stream, record, and deliver content across multiple platforms, operate Roland switchers and other AV gear, and consult with faculty to ensure high-quality signal and presentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent training.
• Minimum 1 year of directly job-related experience.
• Experience with video streaming and multimedia in classroom or event settings.
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains streaming and video capture services.
• Supports faculty and other clients with video and multimedia in classrooms and event spaces.
• Produces, live streams and records symposiums and University events.
• Operates video and multimedia equipment, Roland video switchers, matrix and routing switchers, image capture and annotation presentation technology, live streaming, video and audio recording systems as well as a range of portable media equipment.
• Responsible for live streaming and recording on a number of platforms throughout campus depending upon the infrastructure available in the location.
• Streams video to various content providers individually and simultaneously as required by clients.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
