Job summary

Amazon Robotics Cosmos is seeking a Software Development Engineer I to build and scale real-time telemetry data infrastructure across Amazon's fulfillment network. You will ingest millions of events daily, process via streaming pipelines on Kinesis and Flink, and land data into a lake for analytics with Athena.

You will work with Java and TypeScript services, collaborating with robotics engineers, BI teams, and operations to drive performance insights at global scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience in large systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing large-scale distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Math, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain components of the Cosmos data pipeline (ingestion, streaming, data lake storage).
• Write clean, production-grade code for real-time and batch data processing.
• Collaborate with robotics engineering to onboard new event types and data models.
• Participate in monitoring, alarming, and on-call support for team services.
• Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.
