Job summary

Urban Sky designs and manufactures one-of-a-kind stratospheric balloons at our North Denver facility. You will carefully follow detailed build instructions, document each step with templates, and assist with occasional test equipment setup and maintenance.

We're looking for self-starting, detail-focused teammates who can lift up to 50 pounds, work 8–12 hour shifts, and thrive in a startup environment with frequent schedule changes. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident required.
• Must be within commuting distance of Denver, CO.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, BOMs, and quality documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform hands-on manufacturing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed work instructions to build balloon assemblies and document steps using templates.
• Cut large patterns and seam patterns per a proprietary seaming method.
• Perform adhesive bonding of balloon fabric.
• Attach plastic fittings to balloons.
• Create custom cord assemblies and perform light rigging.
• Manufacture parachutes and related components.
• Support inventory management and batch builds.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
