Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly experience; transferable experience accepted.
• Safety-focused habits; comfort using shop tools and measuring equipment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt in a fast-paced program.
• Ability to meet physical demands: standing, stooping, lifting.
• Willingness for overtime, weekend and shift work; some travel.
• Experience with controlled environments, automation, or ballooning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operation, and continuous improvement of balloon fabrication and assembly areas.
• Develop, document, refine manufacturing and verification processes for quality and scale.
• Fabricate and assemble prototype and production balloon systems with care.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to solve issues and improve productivity.
• Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure quality and identify issues early.
• Support a range of hands-on production activities to meet program goals.
