Job summary

UnitedHealthcare in New Orleans seeks an Associate Director in network contracting to guide development of competitive provider networks and unit cost management through pricing modeling and reporting. This role drives strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration within a Fortune 6 leader.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network management, strong financial modeling skills, and deep knowledge of Medicare cost structures.

Qualifications

5+ years supervisory experience in network management with complex providers.
2+ years of pricing and financial modeling for rate decisions.
2+ years managing medical cost and administrative budgets.
2+ years of provider contracting experience.
Expert knowledge of Medicare RBRVS and DRGs.

Responsibilities

Guide development of geographically competitive, broad access, stable networks that achieve objectives for unit cost performance and trend management
Develop functional, market level and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities
Apply network configuration and incentive-based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiency
Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems
Direct work that impacts entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)
