Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is offering a Service Line Strategy Internship to research emerging trends and translate them into strategic recommendations for the Operations and Planning teams.

You will help develop dashboards and planning views, work across key departments, and present findings to business leaders, shaping multi-year priorities and future capabilities.

Qualifications

• Power BI and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant analytical or strategy-focused field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to MISO’s Operations and Planning strategy by researching industry trends and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
• Develop or improve strategic roadmaps, dashboards, and planning views using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and MISO tools.
• Translate industry trends into multi-year priorities and leadership-ready recommendations.
• Collaborate across Market Operations, System Operations, Transmission Planning, and Resource Planning to inform decisions.
