Job Description
DAVID YURMAN is seeking a strategic and analytical leader to support the ongoing development and implementation of its growth strategy and strategic initiatives across the company. This role is part of the Corporate Strategy function, which is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company and enabling business leaders through data-backed insights and strategic guidance.
This role will work cross-functionally with leaders to understand their business challenges and bring analytical thinking to generate actionable, data-driven insights and recommendations. You will scope and conduct market and competitor research, synthesize market and industry trends, build financial models and business cases, and develop executive communications to articulate findings and strategic implications. Projects may include assessing new growth opportunities (e.g., markets, products), business optimization initiatives, ROI hind sighting and strategic plan development.
We’re looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, interested in the luxury industry, with the ability to creatively solve problems and navigate ambiguity. This role will require regular interaction with senior leadership and is expected to independently lead strategic workstreams and quantitative analyses.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams and leaders to scope, evaluate, develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with the company’s growth objectives
- Translate business problems into structured analytical frameworks and develop models and scenarios to evaluate scenarios and solutions
- Analyze and synthesize data and craft storylines to articulate findings and insights that can be communicated to executive leaders and the board
- Conduct research on industry and competitor trends and synthesize into key takeaways and implications for executives
- Build strong working relationships, across all levels and disciplines, to drive progress through influence
Qualifications / Requirements
- Background: Minimum of 3 years work experience in management consulting, investment banking and/or corporate strategy
- Analytical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to build and interpret financial and operational models; proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Problem-solving: Very strong problem-solving skills with ability to find structure and logic to provide meaningful conclusions
- Communication: Ability to synthesize and communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing, through structured and clear recommendations
- Organization: Strong project management capabilities with ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously
Working mode: Hybrid (minimum 3 days/week in office) – NYC; No travel expected
Estimated salary range: $110,000-$140,000
Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
