Job summary

Bank of America is offering a Strategy and Management Summer Internship, a 10-week program designed to preview the elite two-year development track. You’ll engage in Digital Technologies, FinTech, Strategy, Innovation and Management, working within the internal Strategy & Business Ventures team.

The program includes rigorous training, exposure to leaders across functions, and hands-on opportunities to develop and test strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or bachelor’s direct-to-master’s degree with a graduation window between November 2027 and August 2028.
• Supports learning, innovation, intelligent risk-taking, integrity, and flexibility.
• Builds and nurtures strong relationships, while collaborating to get things done.
• Demonstrates strong logical reasoning, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• GPA 3.2 or higher preferred.
• Majors in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Consulting, Mathematics, Data Analysis, FinTech, Marketing.
• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to senior leaders and support high-priority strategic initiatives across functions such as strategy, product management, marketing, and analytics.
• Contribute to strategic growth initiatives that span the bank’s core business units and help shape industries.
• Collaborate with diverse project teams to develop and test strategic recommendations and operationalize new capabilities.

About The Strategy and Management Program

The Strategy and Management Summer Program is our 10-week Internship. This provides an exclusive preview of the elite, two-year development training program (recently recognized in 2023 with a Brandon Hall Group Gold Award for most innovative or unique talent acquisition program), which prepares teammates to become future corporate leaders at Bank of America by providing you with direct experience in Digital Technologies, FinTech, Strategy, Innovation, and Management. Teammates will work in our innovation function (Bank of America Strategy & Business Ventures) helping drive strategic growth initiatives across our core business units. You will be exposed to multiple parts of our business and learn how to develop, test, launch, and operationalize new strategies to better serve our clients. You will also participate in a comprehensive training curriculum taught by BofA and industry experts, designed to enable general manager capabilities.

Bank of America’s Strategy & Business Ventures team functions as an internal strategic consulting function for a wide range of leaders across the dank. This group provides high-fidelity learning opportunities in broadly relevant skills (research, modeling, presentations, problem solving methodologies, data visualization and storytelling) and will provide exposure to a diverse array of people, processes, and organizations within the bank.

As a Strategy & Management Summer intern you will

• Build an in-depth understanding of the business, client needs, and opportunities by gaining exposure to senior leaders and supporting high priority strategic initiatives that span functions such as strategy, product management, marketing, sales enablement, digital, operations, payments and analytics
• Be a part of an organization that drives initiatives which have the potential to shape industries, given our reach (10 billion annual client interactions, 4,000+ financial centers nationwide) and cutting-edge expertise (4,000+ patents; 6,000+ teammates are inventors)
• Work with a diverse, high-performing project team(s) to develop strategic recommendations with key internal leaders; test, launch, and operationalize new capabilities as part of these strategic recommendations

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or bachelor’s direct to master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028
• Appreciates an environment that supports learning, innovation, intelligent risk-taking, integrity, and flexibility
• Builds and nurtures strong relationships, while collaborating to get things done
• Demonstrates strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, creativity, listening, communication, and presentation skills

Desired Skills

• 3.2 minimum GPA preferred
• Pursing a major area of study which includes but is not limited to: Business Management, Economics, Finance, Consulting, Mathematics, Data Analysis, FinTech, Marketing
• Have experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research
• Have experience with Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
