August Robotics is an international startup which builds application-specific robots to automate workflows for businesses. The company has offices around the world (USA, Germany, UK, China and Australia) and has some of America’s biggest name companies as its clients.
August Robotics is at the forefront of the robotics and AI revolution and has several robotic product lines across different sectors of the economy. Our robots serve clients in the exhibition, construction and industrial layout industries, and we are currently growing our team in the USA.
THE ROLE
As Strategy and Growth Manager, you will play a critical role in helping move our USA business forward through developing commercial strategies, structuring and negotiating partnership deals, and leading business development for our Lionel business. Your time will be equally allocated to three responsibility areas:
- Leading August Robotics’ efforts to source, negotiate and close strategic partnership deals with large existing clients and also with new strategic partners
- Owning commercial proposals and cost-benefit analyses as part of those partnership negotiations
- Once signed, project managing the partnership programs, in collaboration with our tech and commercial teams, for maximum success and customer happiness
Business development and sales (Lionel)
- Responding to inbound leads from web inquiries, conferences, and referrals
- Executing outbound campaigns, and prospecting high-value clients with outbound reach-outs
- Conducting in-person meetings to advance sales opportunities
- Attending exhibition conferences to expand our network and client base, and building networks on-site at robot deployments
- Developing and executing a market-entry for the industrial layout market, bringing Lionel’s world‑leading layout capabilities to factories, data centers, automotive facilities, power plants and other industrial layout facilities
- Leveraging Lionel’s existing track record (see for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri7PJZ4qo7E) to create an integrated market entry strategy for the industrial layout market in USA and globally
- Executing your market entry strategy together with your August Robotics colleagues from the technical and commercial teams

ABOUT YOU
What we would like to see in an applicant:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience at a top‑tier management consulting firm, or in a strategy / growth related role in a start‑up organization
- Honors degree from a top‑tier internationally recognized University
- Independence, pro‑activity and desire to take responsibility for business outcomes
- Ability to negotiation effectively on behalf of the company, and to create compelling cost‑benefit analyses for clients
- Advanced analytical and creative problem‑solving abilities, including excellent Excel & Powerpoint skills
- An ability to understand and emphasize with the business needs of potential clients and partners
- Meticulously organized with excellent attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial drive, strategic business acumen, creative spirit and an ability to think laterally
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Willingness to relocate to our USA HQ in Las Vegas (preferred), or work remotely out of another location but with monthly travel to Las Vegas
The following are helpful but not required for this role:
- Experience working with, or consulting to, a technology‑focused start‑up company
- Experience in a commercial growth strategy, business development or sales role or related consulting project
- Familiarity with contractual terms typically used in B2B sales contracts
This is a commercial role, so engineering / technical / robotics qualifications are not required, but you must have an enthusiasm for robotics and a passion for using technology to help society.
You should be comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the idea of working in an entrepreneurial culture. You should be open to learning new things, and willing to jump in and lend a hand on a range of different issues when the need arises.
