SSAB is seeking a Manager of Strategy and Business Development to direct long-range goals for the Americas, including market entry proposals and expansion strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or industry-related field is required.
  • MBA or MSc is preferred for advanced strategic roles.
  • Minimum 5+ years in management consulting or corporate development is preferred.

  • Leads the yearly strategy process for SSA Americas.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Manager of Strategy and Business Development is responsible for developing and directing the strategic and long-range goals of the Americas including proposals to enter new markets and to expand existing market presence.

The Manager of Strategy and Business Development is responsible for developing and directing the strategic and long-range goals of the Americas including proposals to enter new markets and to expand existing market presence.


Essential Functions


  • Collaborates with executives and managers to develop long-range, strategic goals for the organization.

  • Takes lead in driving and developing the yearly strategy process for SSA Americas

  • Leads multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, from idea to project implementation.

  • Reports & presents updates to the executive team on a regular basis

  • Manages the analytical and research activities supporting an organization's strategic, short-term, and long-range goal planning function.

  • Identifies and reviews market trends; analyzes and applies this information in development of strategies for individual market segments.

  • Leads the research of emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, and the viability of outside business partners.

  • Develops recommendations for internal business process improvement.

  • Designs and executes methods to track and measure organizational performance data to use for planning.
