Job summary

LINK is seeking a Strategist, Social Media in the Washington, DC area to develop and execute client-focused social content and strategic communications. You will collaborate with senior strategists and cross-functional teams to translate research into clear deliverables and strengthen client outcomes.

You will manage content across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, support stakeholder interviews and workshops, and help craft presentations and materials aligned with client goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic communications, consulting, public affairs, social media, organizational transformation, strategy, or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with clients and collaborate with stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning efforts, workshops, stakeholder engagements, or similar activities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights, recommendations, and actionable plans.
  • Experience developing and executing social media content across platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Responsibilities

  • Support client engagements by developing mission, vision, strategic goals, and KPIs/OKRs aligned to organizational priorities.
  • Contribute to framing business challenges through research, note-taking, synthesis, and development of structured deliverables.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research, analyze findings, and summarize insights to inform recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing materials for strategic planning sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support stakeholder interviews and working sessions by gathering information, documenting findings, and synthesizing key takeaways.
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and value creation through current-state analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Provide project coordination support across engagements to ensure alignment, clear documentation, and timely execution.
  • Curate relevant visual and audio/video media and news products and create and retain statistics and measures of effectiveness for maximum engagement across a wide range of audiences.

  • Review deliverables for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and quality assurance.
  • Track social media engagement, statistics, and measures of effectiveness to inform ongoing content and communication strategy.
  • Assist with project management tasks to help ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet established standards.
  • Assist in the development of change management deliverables, including stakeholder analyses, communications plans, and adoption materials.
  • Support documentation of governance structures, workflows, and operating models.
  • Prepare materials and capture outputs from cross-functional meetings and working sessions.
  • Track action items, milestones, and performance metrics to support ongoing strategy refinement and implementation.
  • Support the development of communications strategies and materials that help stakeholders understand and adopt organizational changes.
  • Collaborate with strategists and cross-functional team members to develop high-quality client deliverables.
  • Share tools, approaches, and lessons learned that improve the quality and consistency of work across engagements.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Provide support and knowledge sharing to more junior team members as appropriate.

About The Opportunity

The Strategist; Social Media supports client engagements by contributing to the development and execution of client-focused strategies through research, analysis, content development, and strategic communications. This role works closely with senior strategists and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, synthesize information, and translate insights into clear, organized deliverables.

The Strategist; Social Media is responsible for managing and creating content for client social media sites, currently including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. This role conducts research, supports stakeholder interviews and workshops, and assists in building presentations, strategic materials, and communications aligned with client goals. The Strategist; Social Media also curates relevant visual and audio/video media and news products and tracks statistics and measures of effectiveness to support audience engagement.

Working collaboratively with creative teams, the Strategist; Social Media helps refine content and visual products to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the client's brand and industry. Through strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset, this role contributes to high-quality strategic solutions that support client objectives and overall project success.

Work Schedule

Salary

LINK is committed to offering competitive compensation. While the salary range for this position is $86,000 - $116,000, your final offer may be adjusted based on factors such as experience and location.
