Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) seeks a Senior Advisor for the Office of Statewide Workforce Development (OSWD) to oversee and direct initiatives of the Coordinating Council for Workforce Development (CCWD). You will create, track, and report on measurable metrics and serve as a liaison between state education and workforce partners.

Ideal candidates will identify long-term workforce needs and recommend uses of legislative and executive tools to improve system

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology or a related field and demonstrated experience in project management, team leadership and communication with high-ranking government or elected officials.

Responsibilities

Lead CCWD initiatives and track measurable metrics.
Supervise CCWD staff and assign work to organize workflow.
Make recommendations to CCWD and monitor compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
Serve as the primary liaison between senior management, business partners, IT/Development teams, often with competing stakeholder expectations.
Provide analytical support throughout the project lifecycle and monitor progress, mitigate risks and ensure quality execution.
Assist in developing business cases including cost-benefit, feasibility, and risk analysis for proposed solutions.
Ensure solutions are aligned with CCWD's long-term strategy and objectives.
Present to stakeholder groups as required.
