Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational components of CCWD program activities.
  • Prepare internal and external written communications; transcribe, edit, and assign deadlines for a variety of written materials including executive summaries, letters, briefing materials, and communications.
  • Provide logistical support for daily activities.
  • Coordinate with statewide partners, agencies, councils, or committees as part of program execution.
  • Arrange in-state and out-of-state travel.
  • Identify resources, tools, or support needed for program delivery.
  • Attend and participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Plan, organize, and implement programmatic activities tied to CCWD or OSWD initiatives.
  • Manage logistics and correspondence for the CCWD meetings and OSWD.
  • Serve as the strategic events lead for programmatic planning and logistical support.
  • Provide event briefing materials and develop event scripts, itineraries, and agendas.
  • Work with planning and assessment to prepare analysis of event feedback, to include meeting minutes.
  • Prepare program reports, dashboards, or status updates for leadership or CCWD.

The Office of Statewide Workforce Development (OSWD) drives high-impact initiatives that connect talent with opportunity across the state in coordination with all the partners of the Coordinating Council for Workforce Development (CCWD). The role coordinates statewide workforce development projects and initiatives identified by CCWD.

Job Description

Are you a sharp, proactive, and deeply organized professional ready to operate at the center of statewide workforce strategy?

The OSWD is seeking a OSWD Coordinator to serve as a critical partner to the OSWD Director, staff, and the CCWD. This is not just a support role, you will be the operational backbone of our CCWD team, managing a diverse portfolio of projects, leading high-profile event logistics, and ensuring seamless communication across council leadership.

This role assists by coordinating the portfolio of projects and initiatives identified by the CCWD, as well as communicates, coordinates, and facilitates projects and information directly for and on behalf of the OSWD director and staff. An ideal candidate will have initiative; ability to adapt, analyze and solve problems; excellent customer service skills; exercise good judgment; and collaborate effectively with others.

Key Responsibilities
Program Operations Support
  • Coordinate operational components of CCWD program activities.
  • Prepare internal and external written communications; transcribe, edit, and assign deadlines for a variety of written materials including but not limited to executive summaries, letters, briefing materials, and communications.
  • Provide logistical support for daily activities.
Program Planning & Implementation
  • First point of consultation for inquiries on policies, procedures, or CCWD-related matters.
  • Coordinate with statewide partners, agencies, councils, or committees as part of program execution.
  • Arrange in-state and out-of-state travel.
  • Identify resources, tools, or support needed for program delivery.
  • Attend and participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Event Planning and Meeting Execution
  • Plan, organize, and implement programmatic activities tied to CCWD or OSWD initiatives.
  • Manage logistics and correspondence for the CCWD meetings and OSWD.
  • Serve as the strategic events lead for programmatic planning and logistical support.
  • Provide event briefing materials and develop event scripts, itineraries, and agendas.
  • Work with planning and assessment to prepare analysis of event feedback, to include meeting minutes.
Project Coordination and Support
  • Provide logistical support for projects.
  • Program-level analysis, reporting, and tracking of initiative outcomes.
  • Assist with facilitating meetings and organizing meeting logistics.
  • Identify resources, undertake research projects, and collect and analyze data.
  • Prepare program reports, dashboards, or status updates for leadership or CCWD.

Education and Experience

An associate or bachelor's degree plus relevant administrative experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to successfully perform the high-level functions of this role.
