QED Electric, a Sonepar company, is seeking a Category Manager Analyst to drive profitable growth for wire and conduit opportunities. The role partners with the Director of Purchasing, vendors, and sales to ensure customer needs and profitability are met.

Applicants should have 5–8+ years in commodity management, strong data analysis, and negotiation skills, plus ERP and advanced Excel proficiency. Mesa, AZ or Denver, CO locations with multi-branch exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven performance and results driven leadership.
• 5-8+ years of experience in commodity category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement.
• Experience managing electrical product categories such as wire & cable preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and execute a comprehensive commodity category strategy.
• Monitor market dynamics and supply chain risks.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage contracts and rebates.
• Drive sourcing initiatives to improve landed cost and margins.
• Coordinate RFQs and close commodity opportunities.
• Partner with sales to book orders based on market feedback.
• Manage commodity orders from PO to fulfillment.
• Serve as local expert for commodity services and solutions.
• Promote new services to differentiate in marketplaces.
• Analyze competitor products and pricing for opportunities.
• Build relationships with sales, branch managers, and regional leadership.
• Oversee purchasing to ensure cost-effective acquisition.
• Update POs and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Evaluate supplier performance across pricing, service, lead times, quality, and innovation.
• Leverage data to track category performance and supplier metrics.
