Job summary

The Product Manager - Commodities at Sonepar leads profitable growth in wire and conduit categories. You will develop a comprehensive commodity strategy, manage RFQs, and drive supplier partnerships to optimize landed cost and margins across multiple branches.

You will partner with Purchasing, Sales, and Vendors to close opportunities, monitor market dynamics, and ensure customer needs are met while sustaining profitability through cross-functional collaboration and data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• 5–8+ years in commodity category management or procurement.
• Experience with electrical distribution or industrial supply is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive commodity category strategy.
• Monitor market dynamics and supply chain risks for copper, steel, PVC.
• Negotiate contracts, rebates, and long-term supplier partnerships.
• Drive sourcing initiatives to improve landed cost and margins.
• Coordinate RFQs and close commodity opportunities with sales.
