Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks a Strategic Weapons System Test Engineer to proactively plan and execute testing for the COLUMBIA class submarine. You will lead test activities, ensure safety, review data, and certify procedures under ITRO/SWSTEP guidelines.

Responsibilities include coordinating with D972, D272, D441, D278, and D445 departments, performing hazard analyses, tagouts, and re-entry control. A 2+ year test background and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of system test experience or mechanical/technical background.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Navy safety/tagout procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing between interfacing test departments and manage test execution.
• Evaluate data for conformance to test procedures and track non-conformances.
• Lead test data collection, certification, and test director duties.
• Ensure safety by performing hazard analyses and enforcing tagout procedures.
