Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Rhode Island is seeking a Strategic Weapons System Test Engineer to proactively plan and execute complex testing for the Columbia program. The role requires ensuring safety, adherence to test procedures, and coordination across test departments while traveling between off-site locations as needed.

You will lead test execution, manage data collection and certification, review procedures for accuracy, and develop documentation of delays or non-conformances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of system test experience or mechanical/technical background.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing between interfacing test departments (D972, D272, D441, D278, D445).
• Test piping systems and tanks (hydrostatic, cleanliness flushes and operational testing).
• Lead test execution and ensure data collection and certification.
• Review Test Procedures for accuracy and completeness.
• Qualify as SWS Test Director and SWS Shift Test Director.
