Amentum is seeking a Strategic Weapons Systems Specialist to support SLBM/SLCM-N fleet documentation for SSN and SSBN submarines in Dahlgren, VA. Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, science or technical discipline, or 4 years of demonstrated subject matter expertise.
• Six years hands-on experience with Strategic Weapon System equipment aboard SSBN/SSN/S SSGN platforms.
• Knowledge of documentation used for targeting, operational, and training purposes.
• Active SECRET US government clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Advise, manage and mentor personnel in the technical documentation function.
• Interface with engineers and fleet personnel on Fleet Documentation, Operating Procedures, and Targeting Tactics for the Strategic Weapons System.
• Oversee development of operational procedures and track documents from inception to distribution.
• Provide final quality assurance for all document deliverables.
• Utilize computer software for document production and maintain electronic/hardcopy data libraries.
• Generate documents autonomously to support R&D scientists and engineers.
