Job summary

E&M Technologies, Inc. seeks a Strategic Wargaming Specialist to design and execute advanced wargames in support of NGIC, based in Charlottesville, VA. You will build multi-domain scenarios, model forces, and guide senior Army leadership with data-driven insights.

Ideal candidates have DoD wargaming experience, strong game-theory background, and a track record of facilitating workshops with military experts. On-site role with opportunity to shape critical national security simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years in professional military wargaming, defense analysis, OR or related fields.
• Experience designing adjudicated, seminar, tabletop, or computer-assisted wargames.
• Experience supporting U.S. Army, Joint, DoD, or NATO organizations.
• Understanding of U.S. Army doctrine, MDO and mission command principles.
• Knowledge of MDMP, JPP and COA analysis.
• Experience applying game theory to competitive decision environments.
• Ability to document game rules and analytic findings for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute advanced red-on-green wargames for Army training and analysis.
• Create game systems modeling multi-domain interactions and battlefield dynamics.
• Build decision models grounded in threat doctrine and force structure.
• Develop combat resolution systems and campaign-level decision frameworks.
• Apply analytical frameworks such as Nash equilibrium, sequential games, and multi-agent competition.
• Evaluate decision-making and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
• Translate OPANs, CONOPS and scenarios into playable structures for near-peer and LSCO.
• Lead workshops and design sessions with military SMEs and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software, data science, and AI teams to integrate wargames into M&S.
