Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior Veritas eDiscovery Platform (eDP) Engineer to join a fast-paced legal team. The role focuses on administering the Veritas eDiscovery Platform, performing configurations, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and supporting federal accounts.

You will work across storage, OS patches, automation scripting, and cloud migrations to ensure system reliability and data integrity in a government contracting environment.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Veritas eDiscovery Platform (eDP) environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and monitor complex systems and storage.
• Proficiency with scripting to automate routine tasks.
• Familiarity with change control and incident response processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in teleconferences or technical meetings to review objectives.
• Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot using engineering docs.
• Log change requests through the change control board.
• Process storage requests, migrations and decommission tasks.
• Monitor failed components and coordinate vendor/site support as needed.
• Respond to alerts with prompt corrective actions and escalations.
• Perform scheduled maintenance per policies and procedures.
• Prevent data loss by careful maintenance practices.
• Manage technology in remote environments.
• Review and process tickets per SLAs in the service manager DB.
• Provide initial response and Level 1/2 escalation for outages.
• Schedule maintenance actions timely; create PowerShell and VBScript scripts as needed.
• Conduct daily system monitoring of hardware, resources, and services.
• Review logs to verify backups and scheduled jobs completed.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades; update admin tools and end-user apps.
• Configure/add new services; facilitate migration to cloud infra.
• Research innovative/automated approaches for sysadmin tasks.
• Prepare technical assessments with tasks, timelines, and effort.
