Job summary

Oak View Group seeks a Director of Sales for the Bismarck Event Center to lead the sales team and drive revenue growth. You’ll direct sales initiatives, oversee conventions and events, and collaborate with partners to optimize occupancy and economic impact.

The role requires 5–7+ years in hospitality sales or convention center management, proven contract negotiation skills, leadership ability, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in convention center or hospitality sales with management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in public assembly facility management, hospitality management, business administration, or related field.
• Proven success in bidding on large-scale events and managing a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Direct all sales initiatives for the Bismarck Event Center.
• Oversee sales calendar and reporting for conventions and events.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to promote the BEC.
• Negotiate contracts with clients under policy guidelines.
• Mentor and manage the short-term sales team; conduct reviews.
