Job summary

Control Southern is seeking an Operations Manager for Valve & Mechanical Services to oversee the mechanical valve repair and machining facility. You will manage multiple projects, including scheduling, budgets, production, and document control, ensuring on-time shipments and adherence to quality standards.

The role requires leadership of supervisors and staff, development of production goals, and strict compliance with safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of valve repair/machining equipment and shop practices.
• Experience with production planning and scheduling in a valve repair environment.
• Familiarity with NBIC regulatory requirements and safety practices.
• Ability to manage strict schedules, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage all valve repair/machining activities with focus on safety, quality, profit, and cost.
• Coordinate and supervise repair/machining activities including inventory and purchasing to ensure material availability and efficient use of resources.
• Assign work, set schedules, inspect performance, and supervise staff.
• Oversee and motivate valve repair production personnel; plan schedules for leads and machinists.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to meet product quality standards.
• Ensure personnel are certified and trained per required guidelines; enforce safety procedures.
