The role coordinates between clinical and non-clinical staff to identify cost-effective services, supplies, and equipment under the Great Lakes Health System. The incumbent will manage multiple value analysis teams, liaise with vendors, organize trials, and report on savings, policies, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of professional or paraprofessional materials management in healthcare.
• 60 semester credit hours and 3 years of materials management experience in healthcare.
• High school diploma and 5 years of materials management experience in healthcare.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by (A)-(C).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with staff to coordinate value analysis teams for cost-effective purchasing.
• Utilizes GPOs, regional alliances, and contracts to identify savings and standardization opportunities.
• Arranges vendor presentations and product trials; reports results and participates in product selection.
• Help develop and coordinate value analysis policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with clinical staff on medical protocol-related product utilization.
• Participates in RFP processes for clinical products and services.
• Compiles data and prepares reports on contracts, cost savings, and status of initiatives.
