Job summary

The City of Bend is seeking an experienced Urban Renewal Manager to lead redevelopment initiatives that improve economic vitality, infrastructure, and vibrant community spaces. You will manage Bend Urban Renewal Agency (BURA) and collaborate with officials, developers, and residents to realize redevelopment visions.

  • Ability to manage budgets and financial forecasting.
  • Strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, plan and manage complex urban renewal strategies for Bend areas.
  • Provide leadership to staff and cross-functional project teams.
  • Manage the Bend Urban Renewal Agency (BURA) Board with oversight.
  • Develop budgets, tax increment financing (TIF) and financial forecasting.
  • Prepare reports for the BURA Board and City Council.
  • Lead negotiations and policy development for redevelopment projects.
