Job summary

SWBC is seeking an Underwriting Analyst in San Antonio, TX, to design and price payment protection programs and conduct profitability and regulatory analyses. You will support underwriting and sales operations and help ensure multi-state compliance across SWBC Life Insurance and related programs.

The role involves modeling, reporting, and collaboration with internal teams to drive improvements in underwriting and revenue performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of underwriting, sales, or related analytical experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and statistical abilities are essential.
• Familiarity with life insurance regulations and compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and price Debt Cancellation and Credit Insurance proposals.
• Conduct profitability analyses for payment protection programs.
• Prepare experience rating refunds and profit share calculations.
• Maintain state-by-state policy equipment and rates library.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve underwriting and compliance issues.
