Job summary

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority seeks a Chief Financial Officer to provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of the Agency’s financial operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field.
• Minimum of fifteen years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience.
• Seven years of related leadership experience.
• Experience leading a complex finance organization with senior professionals.
• Experience overseeing large operating and capital budgets.
• Extensive experience with financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in treasury management, debt financing, investments and/or capital markets.
• Strong executive leadership, communication, analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise an internal team of finance professionals at various levels.
• Directs financial management, treasury, risk management, capital finance and accounting functions.
• Provides governance and executive oversight of the FMIS and related systems.
• Leads the development of multi-year pro forma financial projections for planning.
• Oversees operating and capital budget preparation, consolidation and monitoring.
• Establishes enterprise-wide financial policies and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates with senior leadership to align financial strategy and engages with external stakeholders.
• Collaborates with Labor Relations on CBA timelines and terms and debt management strategies.
• Represents the Authority with boards, regulators and partners.
