Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, seeks an experienced Head of Total Rewards to design and implement innovative compensation, benefits, wellness, and recognition programs that attract and retain exceptional talent in a federally funded research setting.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will lead a team of compensation and benefits professionals, collaborate with Caltech leadership, govern program design, audits, and vendor relations, and drive data-driven decision

Qualifications

• Develop and lead total rewards analytics and metrics to enable strategy.
• Lead Lab-wide and rewards initiatives including incentive pay and variable pay.
• Design compensation, benefits, wellness and rewards programs in a large, federally funded environment.
• Build relationships with Caltech and executive leadership to drive strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership with benefits and compensation consultation.
• Oversee compensation plan design and governance, including data reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance and Payroll on key rewards data and system enhancements.
• Manage vendor relationships and service levels, including RFPs and SOWs.
