Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced vendor management professional in Overland Park, KS. The role focuses on managing technology vendor relationships, driving negotiations, and realizing commercial value through governance and contract optimization.

You will collaborate with sourcing, legal, finance, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to implement approved vendor strategies and ensure governance alignment across portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IS, Engineering, or Law preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in technology sourcing, vendor management or related roles.
• Experience negotiating with major global technology providers and responsible governance.

Responsibilities

• Translate contract terms into governance plans covering obligations and milestones.
• Monitor utilization, renewals, price changes, and potential commercial leakage.
• Provide concise contract summaries and decision-ready reporting on value and risks.
• Lead or support vendor audits, licensing true-ups, and compliance activities.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and IT to drive commercial strategies and governance.
