Job summary

Prudential Financial, Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, seeks a Specialist in Tech Risk Management – Regulatory and Client Response to partner with GT&O and Legal to ensure timely responses to regulatory inquiries and client assessments.

You will analyze gaps, coordinate with control owners and coaches across functions to strengthen risk posture. The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving and an ability to lead initiatives that improve processes, controls and third-party risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; 3–5 years in technology risk, compliance, or similar roles.
• Knowledge of global IT risk management frameworks (NIST, ITIL, ISO, COBIT, SANS).
• Ability to perform regulatory-based gap analysis (SOC 1 & 2, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience with IT governance, risk, and compliance software.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GT&O, Law and Compliance to align tech risk with regulatory requirements.
• Perform gap analyses for technology laws and regulations; drive issue closure with process owners.
• Prepare and submit timely regulatory responses and evidence.
• Support external audits (SOC/SOX) activities and attestations.
• Assist in due diligence reviews with client technology and security assessments.
• Support third-party security due diligence reviews and SIG responses.
• Manage GT&O records management in line with enterprise requirements.
• Lead initiatives to improve risk management practices and cross-functional efficiencies.
