Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional tax experience (tax manager or public accounting preferred).
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing federal corporate income tax returns.
• Proven experience with multi-state income tax compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; familiarity with Sage, Lacerte, or ProSeries.

Responsibilities

• Direct the preparation and review of federal tax returns and filings.
• Ensure timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns.
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning and return calendars.
• Identify and implement process improvements in tax procedures and controls.
• Support IRS audits and respond with schedules and documentation.
• Monitor tax law developments and advise management on implications.
