Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD, seeks a Strategic Systems Program Protection Analyst to shape defense programs through threat intelligence and protection expertise. Lead cross-disciplinary teams, apply behavioral science methods, and advance strategic deterrence efforts for Navy and Air Force programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in System Security Analysis or closely related field, plus at least 5 years of Intelligence or Program Protection experience.
  • Experience with intelligence community, cyber operations, data analysis, statistical analysis, and experimental methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide threat intelligence application and program protection expertise to sustainment and recapitalization of U.S. Nuclear Triad and Strategic Deterrent Systems.
  • Collaborate with researchers across systems engineering, test and evaluation, physics, cognitive and social sciences, and cybersecurity.
  • Provide technical leadership in applied behavioral science for program protection measures and effectiveness.
  • Ensure execution quality and timeliness of technical products.
  • Engage sponsors to define and pursue new opportunities.
  • Research and experiment with innovative technologies and software to demonstrate system concepts for sponsors.
  • Contribute to program objectives supporting strategic deterrence.
