Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Vice President, Treasury and ALM in Pittsburgh (Hybrid). You will lead ALM/IRRBB analytics, model development, and strategic risk management across the balance sheet, reporting to senior leadership and partnering with Treasury, Finance, and Risk teams.

You will shape the ALM framework, enhance governance, and drive adoption of analytics and AI-driven insights to improve decision-making while maintaining strong controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computational finance, economics, finance, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.
• MBA, CFA, FRM, or similar advanced credential preferred.
• 10-15 years of total work experience preferred.
• Significant experience with interest rate risk management, IRRBB, and/or asset-liability management within large, complex financial organizations preferred.
• Experience with Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) or similar IRR platform preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to connect model output and analytical findings to strategic Treasury, balance sheet, and risk management decisions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory expectations, governance standards, and industry practices related to ALM and IRRBB.
• Proven ability to communicate complex analytical topics clearly to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior-level expertise and thought leadership in ALM, focusing on IRRBB, balance sheet analytics, and Treasury risk management strategy.
• Leads modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis related to assets, liabilities, earnings sensitivity, and value exposure.
• Shapes future strategy by translating Treasury priorities into clear team objectives and insights.
• Monitors compliance with internal and regulatory balance sheet risk metrics and escalates issues to senior management.
• Oversees core IRR measurement tools, ensuring outputs are fit for purpose and used in decision-making.
• Delivers analytics and reporting that support Treasury, Finance, and Risk partners.
• Develops talent through feedback, mentorship, and growth opportunities.

Education

Mathematics/Engineering/Statistics/Computational Finance/Economics/Finance degree preferred

MBA/CFA/FRM or similar advanced credential preferred

10–15 years of total work experience preferred

Ability to connect model output to strategic decisions

Strong understanding of regulatory expectations for ALM/IRRBB
