Job summary

Harley-Davidson Motor Company's Product Development Center in Wauwatosa, WI is seeking a Professional Supply Management professional to support product development by executing purchasing activity, developing commodity strategies, and managing supplier performance.

The role interfaces between the supply management process and manufacturing, requiring negotiation, contract and change management, and collaboration with engineering teams and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Product Development and key drivers such as Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base, or Supply Chain.
• Ability to work effectively in a group and mentor new team members.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates working knowledge and experience in Supply Management.
• Ability to drive results with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
• Impacts quality of their own work in Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base and the work of others on their team.
• Solves problems by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience and judgment with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
• Provides informal guidance to new Supply Management team members and impacts the work of others within the group.
• Effectively communicates complex information involving Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base, or Supply Chain to others.
• Effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, external and internal Engineering teams, and project stakeholders
