Job summary

Harley-Davidson Motor Company is seeking a Director of Supplier Development Quality at the PDC in Wauwatosa, WI. The role leads a global quality organization focused on ensuring supplier processes meet product requirements through APQP, PPAP, risk management, and audits.

Collaboration spans Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Service and Manufacturing operations to reduce launch risk and improve customer quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years related experience with 5 years of management experience.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical expertise in multiple manufacturing processes and related tooling/fixtures.
• PPAP experience including DFMEA, PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans, SPC.
• General knowledge of motorcycles and engineering/manufacturing standards.
• VDA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a global organization of teams to drive APQP supplier activities.
• Ensure DFMEA, PRDs, drawings and validation activities drive design readiness.
• Develop and validate supplier manufacturing processes and control readiness.
• Improve supplier quality through risk assessment and continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve launch readiness risks and current production quality issues.
• Measure and drive progress against quality metrics that matter.
• Influence supplier selection with data-driven quality assessments.
