Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Senior Planner – Supply Chain to lead forecasting, capacity planning, and S&OP processes across multiple facilities.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, procurement, sales, and finance to optimize inventory, cost, and service levels. The role requires a Bachelor's in business or related field, 5+ years planning experience, APICS certification preferred, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with forecasting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years planning experience preferred.
• APICS certification or progress toward certification preferred.
• Demonstrated statistical and spreadsheet analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic financial analysis.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, and customer service.
• Experience in Sales and Operations planning preferred.
• Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and listening skills.
• Direction or Influencing of Others

Responsibilities

• Work as analytical evaluator to optimize total cost and service across supply chain.
• Develop & maintain an 18-month outlook for production, milk utilization, asset utilization, and FG inventory.
• Develop, manage, and maintain capacity planning models for 3-8 facilities.
• Collaborate with Membership to understand planned milk supply.
• Lead monthly Supply Agreement process to surface imbalances and support S&OP decisions.
• Establish inventory planning and production scheduling parameters for Master Production Schedulers.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Materials Planners to align materials, production, and finished goods strategies.
• Lead capacity and inventory review discussions in S&OP Supply Review meetings.
• Analyze and adjust inventory stocking policies to minimize spoilage and maximize turns.
• Collaborate with Plant Operations to align capacity definitions with leadership.
• Analyze total delivered costs to implement changes for lowest Supply Chain cost.
• Fulfill all accountabilities per Upstate Niagara Cooperative policies and core values.
• Interface across manufacturing, logistics, marketing, and finance within the S&OP process.
