Job summary

Kitchen Food Company is seeking a Production Planner to build and manage the master production schedule across our Kentucky operations. The role focuses on translating demand, inventory, and capacity into actionable plans, coordinating with Operations and Procurement to ensure timely material availability and execution.

You will use ERP/MRP systems to monitor materials, lead times, and production performance, driving continuous improvements in planning and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems for material planning and BOM setup.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with procurement, operations, and QA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand, inventory, and capacity.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure plans are achievable.
• Monitor schedule performance and adjust plans as needed.
• Communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.
• Use ERP/MRP to determine material requirements and ensure availability.
• Identify and manage material shortages and inventory risks.
• Partner with Procurement to monitor deliveries and lead times.
• Support inventory optimization by tracking stock levels.
• Assist with cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Maintain planning data in ERP/MRP and run planning reports.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Ops, Warehouse, and QA.
• Support trials, launches, ramp-ups, and continuous improvement.
• Provide updates to the Supply Chain Manager and site leadership.
