Job summary

Groomer’s Choice in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee strategic sourcing, procurement, planning, logistics, and production scheduling across a multi-site network. You will drive cost reductions, improve lead times, and ensure on-time delivery by coordinating with suppliers, product development, and internal teams.

The role requires a 4-year degree and 5+ years in supply chain operations, with ERP/MRP experience (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or production planning.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus.
• Proficiency in materials planning, inventory optimization, and supplier management.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials and finished goods.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate supplier contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive cost, quality, and lead time improvements.
• Coordinate with product development to support sourcing of new products.
• Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) and demand forecasting across sites.
• Develop inventory control strategies to minimize excess stock while ensuring availability.
• Drive inventory accuracy and reduce obsolescence through data-driven decisions.
• Manage inbound, interfacility, and outbound logistics; optimize freight and distribution.
• Coordinate production scheduling with manufacturing to align with demand and constraints.
• Implement KPIs to track cost, inventory turnover, and service levels; pursue continuous improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
