Job summary

MITER Brands is seeking a Materials Manager to lead Purchasing and Receiving, ensuring inventory accuracy, timely material flow, and cost reporting during month-end close. You will drive safety, productivity, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced Oregon operation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Business or Supply Chain, 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, and strong Excel skills with knowledge of replenishment methods; ASCM/APICS certification is a plus, Oracle experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
• Three plus years in an operations leadership role with direct reports
• Five plus years in a manufacturing setting with a demonstrated history of career advancement
• Advanced level Excel skills for data analysis
• Experience in oversight of multiple departments in a made-to-order manufacturing facility
• Knowledge of inventory replenishment methods (Min/Max, Reorder Point, Kanban, MRP, etc.)
• Experience in production planning, procurement, and inventory control is desired
• ASCM/APICS certification is a plus, but not required
• Oracle experience is desired, but not required

Responsibilities

• Drive accountability to a safety-first culture.
• Lead the Procurement, Scheduling, and Receiving departments to ensure their training and development is sufficient to enhance productivity while supporting the ongoing development and employee engagement.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, improving processes, reducing costs, and increase quality while providing superior customer service and on-time delivery.
• Develop and implement a strategy to minimize supply chain disruptions while limiting working capital.
• Champion daily visual management as a development tool for the Supply Chain organization.
• Analyze inventory turns, shortages, costing, manufacturing waste and cycle count deviations to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Problem solving to identify the root cause of supply chain and scheduling issues
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve pricing, quality and delivery performance.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis will be required to support the requirements of location management.
