Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Buyer in Maryland to manage procurement activities for production materials. You will source suppliers, request and evaluate quotations, and monitor orders to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field and 2+ years in procurement, with strong planning, communication, and Excel skills. This position offers competitive compensation and benefits within the Textron family.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic MS Office applications with emphasis in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials from suppliers at the lowest cost with quality and reliability.
• Study market trends, interview vendors and recommend sources of supply.
• Solicit and analyze quotations to satisfy requirements.
• Monitor outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries and expedit shipments as needed.
• Negotiate adjustments from price analyses, discrepancies, or cancellations.
• Obtain delivery certifications and conduct item delivery validation; check and improve invoice payments.
• Develop and maintain records for compliance; support proposal cost data.
