Job summary

Pelican Wire is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to optimize supplier relationships, manage POs, and ensure timely, cost-efficient material delivery. You will coordinate procurement, logistics, and inventory while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with production needs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in procurement or supply chain, with strong negotiation, analytical, and ERP skills (SAP/Oracle). Experience in manufacturing/wire industry is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a similar role.
• Proven negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (ERP systems like SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments or wire/cable industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage purchase orders (POs), ensure adherence to contract terms and company policies.
• Monitor order confirmations, shipping schedules, and delivery status to mitigate delays.
• Coordinate logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management, to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external logistics partners to optimize delivery schedules and resolve transportation issues or to meet changing production requirements.
• Track and resolve discrepancies in invoices, shipments, or quality issues with suppliers.
