Job summary

Mars Inc. is seeking a Manager, Supplier Inclusion & Opportunity to develop and execute strategies expanding access to procurement opportunities across its NA supply chain.

The role partners with cross-functional teams to drive supplier inclusion and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliant, inclusive procurement processes. The position reports to the VP MGS Commercial - Americas and involves engaging chambers, associations, and supplier networks, while delivering regular program updates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in Supplier Inclusion and procurement.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise-wide supplier opportunity strategy to expand participation by qualified businesses in competitive procurement processes.
• Expand supplier discovery to include emerging businesses, small enterprises, and underserved markets.
• Build relationships with chambers of commerce, industry associations, and supplier networks.
• Design and implement supplier education, outreach, and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate supplier forums, capability presentations, matchmaking events, and procurement-readiness workshops for eligible businesses.
• Facilitate connections between qualified suppliers and internal procurement decision-makers.
• Ensure programs comply with federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Supply leadership to maintain controls for supplier qualification, selection, and contracting.
• Monitor evolving legal/regulatory developments affecting supplier engagement.
• Represent Mars in industry forums and supplier inclusion initiatives.
