Job summary

JCB is seeking a Senior Procurement & Supplier Management professional to ensure supplier performance aligns with business expectations, focusing on capacity, quality, and warranty issues. You will bridge category management with operations, drive improvements, and coordinate with stakeholders to implement supply contracts across global sites.

The role requires in-depth supplier base knowledge, excellent contract and cost management skills, and the ability to influence change in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Requires category & supplier management in a global organization.
• Strong cost and pricing management capabilities.
• Experience in purchasing within engineering/production settings.
• Ability to develop and monitor supplier performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Input into creation of category strategies at local level.
• Develop category execution plans and monitor supplier performance via KPIs.
• Create and implement robust plans for early supplier engagement, cost savings, tendering, contracting, and capacity management.
• Ensure alignment with business strategy and forward planning.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to implement supply contracts and monitor performance.
• Support manufacturing site capacity and risk management activities.
• Lead escalation resolution for supplier delivery and quality issues.
