Job summary

Smith+Nebhew seeks a senior procurement professional to oversee day-to-day supplier management, lead sourcing decisions, and negotiate contracts for strategic materials. You will partner with Global Procurement and Operations to develop global commodity strategies, drive cost reduction, and ensure supply continuity while applying Six Sigma and Lean methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; advanced MS degree desired.
• +5 years in strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, or supply-chain ops in manufacturing or regulated industry.
• Medical device experience is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency with ERP(SAP)/MRP systems and MS Office; Spend Management tools; AI in procurement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day supplier management activities and ensure sourcing strategy execution.
• Lead category-based sourcing decisions and support NPD process.
• Negotiate complex contracts for strategic materials and onboard new suppliers.
• Develop and execute global commodity strategies; monitor supplier performance.
• Drive cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supply continuity using Six Sigma/Lean methods.
