Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team overseeing the full subcontract lifecycle, including proposal support, subcontract development and negotiation, supplier performance, and regulatory flow‑downs for U.S.

DoD/FAA programs. Based at Saab’s headquarters in East Syracuse, NY or at Quincy, MA, Bristol, RI, or Orlando, FL, the role partners with cross‑functional teams to mitigate risk, strengthen supplier relations, and enable successful defense program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business/engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in supply chain, contracts, or subcontracts leadership.
• Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFARS) and DoD/FAA programs.
• Strong negotiation, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team across proposals, development, and negotiations.
• Oversee complex, high‑value subcontracts with proper terms, deliverables, and risk allocation.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Government requirements and Saab policies.
• Guide strategy with cross‑functional partners to meet cost, schedule, and quality goals.
• Support audits, improve processes, and mentor the Subcontracts organization.
