Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team of professionals supporting high-value procurements and critical programs.

You will oversee the full subcontract lifecycle, including negotiation, development, and regulatory compliance to meet customer requirements, including DoD and FAA standards. The role partners with multiple functions to drive sourcing strategies, risk management, and continuous improvement across supply chain initiatives, with opportunities to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering-General or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of Supply Chain, Logistics, Contracts and Material Management experience (or 7+ years with a Master's).
• Leadership experience over Subcontracts, Proposal, Buying and Planning teams.
• Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA).
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Contract negotiation experience for large DoD subcontracts.
• Knowledge of forecast and planning tools for MRP systems.
• Strong financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams domestically and internationally.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team across programs, proposals, and supply chain initiatives.
• Oversee development, negotiation, execution, and administration of complex subcontracts and supplier agreements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Government requirements and Saab procurement policies.
• Provide SME guidance on subcontracting and contractual issues; assess risks and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, PM, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Quality, and others on sourcing strategies.
• Support strategic supply chain initiatives and drive policy development and continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain subcontracting policies, templates, and tools.
• Support audits and government reviews with proper documentation and evidence.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, performance reviews, and team development.
